Gift Supplier for the Connected Lives Community

What Is Connected Lives ...
Connected Lives brings 25 New Zealand households together in a unique community to showcase how Xtra Broadband and the latest HP technology can enrich the lives of ordinary New Zealanders. The households have been selected from more than 8,000 registrations and are broadly representative of the New Zealand population. Each home is supplied with an Xtra broadband connection, home wireless network and the latest HP technology worth up to $6,000 in total.

How The Perfect Gift was involved
The challenge for the households was to 'Get Connected with a Gift'. Each of the 25 Households were given a $100 Perfect Gift Certificate to send a gift to someone outside of their household.

What the households had to say about their Online Shopping Experience

The Ashbys : Online shopping is infinitely more enjoyable than the walking-about variety. It's easy and quick to find exactly what you're looking for. An e-voucher would be a great gift for a friend or family member so that they could enjoy choosing something for themselves.

The Brocks: Shopping on line is great fun, oh so cool and it is simple to be able to have the product purchased, paid for and delivered to the doorstep. Who needs the hassle of going out amongst those huge massive crowds in Invercargill?

The Scarfie Flat: This weeks challenge will help in our everyday lives by demonstrating to us the variety of things that can actually be purchased safely via the internet, as we have never done it before due to the skepticism held out shopping online.

The Talakai Diary: The most fun is choosing the present, the colour of the wrapper, the ribbon and the card all online and getting the gifts paid for with the gift vouchers. Being able to experience shopping online has been the highlight of the week for us.

The Taylors: The hardest thing online has been to find a perfect gift, because of the great variety of products. The most fun has been to be able to buy a gift for my friend, to acknowledge her fantastic support.

The Campbells: The Perfect Gift website was very impressive: easy and intuitive to navigate and nicely presented too!

The Johnstons: We found that the Perfectgift site had some gorgeous gifts that are perfect for letting people know you appreciate them. They are reasonably priced and quick and easy (and I love that they gift wrap with a card and take care of delivery, perfect for busy mums) A big thumbs up for this week challenge.

The Harrisons: I think after seeing how easy it is it we will be looking into having an online gift registry for our wedding in Feb.

The Searles: The hardest thing by far that I have done this week has been choosing a present for my mum on 'the perfect gift' site. They were very helpful but I found that it was not as easy as I thought. She had been so wonderful this week that it was great to thank her for all her help. The most fun was having $100 to spend at such a cool site and not have to worry about delivery/wrapping or the note. fabulous, thanks heaps to the perfect gift.

The Ramsey Family: How do you think what you've done in this week's challenge can help you in your everyday life? Well, if we ever need to buy a present for someone special, theperfectgift.co.nz is the place to shop online.

The Doyle Family: This week's challenge was very interesting. All those decisions to be made. We choose Raewyn, Jill's sister because her birthday is not far away. We know she will get a big surprise when her gift arrives. We learnt from this experience that's there's a greater variety of goods for sale on the internet than downtown, and that you don't have to find a car park to go shopping.

The Searle Family: The hardest thing by far that I have done this week has been choosing a present for my mum on 'the perfect gift' site. I am sure that this shopping online is a real help in our everyday lives because we do it all the time here. It was a good site to get used to browsing around, it was different to other internet sites I have shopped on before. I have never used a gift certificate before, but it was great to not have to worry about the credit card when going to the checkout
